  'Wild Child' weekend
12-14th June

Penwythnos 'Wild Child' weekend

  Fri 12 Jun 2026 4:00 PM - Sun 14 Jun 2026 Henbant, LL54 5DF

Keynote speaker Jay Griffiths (‘Kith’) opens our festivities, exploring The Riddle of the Childscape.

A relaxed family weekend celebrating the wonder of natural childhoods, and the presence of people on the land. We’re inviting you to share our whole space for the weekend, and bring your children out into nature to explore their wilder sides and connect to the wonders of freedom and exploration. You can run free and play, join a workshop, sit in a hammock and stare at the sky.

We’ll be largely holding low-tech spaces so you will need to be comfortable leaving your phones and devices behind. Almost all our workshops/sessions are being hosted by volunteers to keep costs low. We’ll be putting our young people at the heart of this weekend; for the adults there’ll be time to relax and breathe, join in or not, sweat it out in the sauna, share your vision of the future we want for all our children.

Free play in nature * Forest School * Bushcraft * Arts and Crafts * Sauna * Storytelling * Campfire * Pond-dipping * Sharing circles and discussion * Outdoor Cooking * Water play * Dark skies and revelry * Phone-free * Film night * Wide games * Natural and traditional crafts * Animals * Café

Add extras:

The basic ticket price is for self-catering, but there will be catered options if you prefer. Meals are ideally reserved in advance so we can get a rough idea of the correct number of people - these are an extra cost, you can pay on the day. Café will be available to buy coffees and cake throughout the weekend. Majority of food will be organic/regenerative/Henbant own produce. We can cater for vegetarian and gluten-free - lunch is available vegan. If you have more specific allergies, please get in touch.

Café lunch (Henbant veg soup, Henbant salad, organic sourdough) £8/pp

Fri night pizzas in our outdoor oven £10 per pizza (homemade organic, choose your own toppings)

Saturday supper night £10/adult, £7/child (Henbant burgers in an organic bun, or jackets and toppings)

Accommodations £120/night

Extra person weekend £15

Extra person day £8

Campervan supplement £20 (limited to 5 vans, you will need to share a spot with one other van). Please do not bring a campervan without booking a campervan slot as we do not have vehicle access in the camping areas.

All tickets are available at a discounted rate for low-income families (Universal Credit, single parent, living with disability etc).

Get in touch if you need a concessionary rate in order to access the activities.

DOGS We have four off-lead friendly dogs who are part of the farm team (front of house, welcome committee). They all enjoy some attention, we can't guarantee they won't nick your sausages. We would prefer not to have too many extra dogs on site for this weekend, but if you do need to have your furry one with you, please keep them on a lead in the busy areas (you can off-lead further out in the regenerating woodland areas).
